The goodwill initiative Do Something BDA hopes to bring the community together over Christmas to ensure everyone has a happy holiday.

It aims to match those who are planning to spend Christmas Day alone with those who have one or more extra places at their table.

“Do Something BDA will carefully consider each request and try our best to match people with families with similar backgrounds or interests,” a spokesman said.

“We will also ensure that both parties are acquainted with each other prior to the day, so there are no hidden surprises.”
