The Bermuda Police Service has said it is continuing to investigate an incident at a local hotel that left two Canadian visitors in hospital

The two visitors — a 25-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man — were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on December 20 after a “reported medical emergency” at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club. Last week a police spokesman said that inquiries were under way by the Drug Unit and that the two visitors still remained at the hospital in stable condition.

Asked for an update on the incident, the spokesman confirmed that the investigation was ongoing, adding: “It would be inappropriate to provide any further details at this time.”

A representative from the hotel said they are co-operating fully with police.
