Sandys Rotary Club has donated $5,000 to The Salvation Army.

Major Frank Pittman, divisional commander of The Salvation Army, said: “The Salvation Army in Bermuda is very active in helping those in need every day of the year.

“This would not be possible without organisations like Sandys Rotary to support us. It is groups like this that allow us to feed hundreds of people, provide shelter, assist in addiction recovery and the list goes on.

“We would like to express our deep appreciation to Sandys Rotary for this generous donation. We commit to putting the funds to good use and making sure that every dollar is spent to enhance the lives of our fellow Bermudians.”

Nathan Kowalski, the president of Sandys Rotary, said: “We continue to find ways to give back to our community and support worthy charities in Bermuda. The Sandys Rotary Club is proud to donate $5,000 to help the Salvation Army continue its excellent mission of helping those in need.”
