A Hamilton design and jewellery shop will host an event featuring a former soap opera star to help celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Kate Mansi, a former actress on Days of Our Lives, will be at Par-la-Ville Road business &Partners for an “Instagram meet-up on the subject of love”, the store said in a release issue ahead of the event today.

Ms Mansi, who played Abigail Deveraux, is shooting for the Bermudian film production of Babymoon.

Directed by Bermudian Lucinda Spurling, the thriller began filming last month. It was initially scheduled to wrap later this week. “I’ve always been in love with love and fascinated by its powerful impact,” Ms Mansi said in the release.

“While I’m out of country and far from my own loved ones this year, I decided to create a meaningful Valentine’s Day by holding space for people to come share their perspectives on love, share their unique stories, or even give a shout out to their special someone.”

Select customer stories will be shared on the local business social media channels, and one specially selected story will be shared by Ms Mansi on her personal Instagram account.

The event runs from noon to 2pm, at the Vallis building, 46 Par-la-Ville Road.
