The Loren opens to first guests

Welcome, Mr Dunkley: the Premier toured the premises

The Loren at Pink Beach opened its doors to its first paying guests on Thursday.

While some work on the 45-suite boutique hotel is continuing, a range of amenities including a spa and two restaurants are expected to come online soon.

Kinga Engelbrecht, general manager at the hotel, said: “We are delighted to have opened our doors to our first guests. It is a very rewarding milestone, and comes at the perfect time, with less than 100 days until the America’s Cup. We look forward to sharing the Loren lifestyle experience with the community and international visitors alike.

“We were also very pleased to welcome Premier Michael Dunkley and Senator Michael Fahy to the hotel for an official tour of the premise. We had a chance to share our unique culinary approach with them, focusing on locally sourced goods.

“Our fine dining restaurant, Marée, will be open for bookings to the public starting on March 10.”
