Road works to delay traffic

Motorists could face frustration over the coming days as road works will cause delays in various areas as the Ministry of Public Works conducts resurfacing.

Tomorrow and Sunday, Trimingham Road, between North and South roundabouts, will be closed; on Monday and Tuesday next week there will be a one lane closure from North Shore Dock Hill to Barker’s Hill roundabout; and beginning on Wednesday next week and continuing for the rest of the week there will be a one lane closure from North Shore Glebe Road to Band Room Lane.

“It should be noted that these works are weather dependant,” said a Government spokesperson.

Meanwhile, Government has advised motorists crossing the St George’s Swing Bridge that from Monday, February 27 until Tuesday, February 28 a ramp will be installed on the south side of the bridge to facilitate the works which is likely to cause traffic disruption.

Drivers are urged to reduce their speed to 10km/h when going over the ramp.
