Students at Bermuda Institute of Seventh-day Adventist showed off their science projects this week.

The theme for this year’s fair was “Science in Creation”.

The fair opened on Wednesday night. A variety of projects examining subjects including clean water, salt levels in the sea and sun spots were on display.

Joan Goulbourne, chairwoman of the science department, said she was proud of the work done by the students.

People attending the event told her it was excellent and one of the best shows to date.

Students started work in November and about 200 projects from children in kindergarten up to and including Grade 12 were on display.

The children also enjoyed talking about their work.

“The students were excited about the fact they were able to make their presentations,” Mrs Goulbourne said.

One student, in particular, had strong feelings about the experience. She said: “His actual words were ‘Mrs Goulbourne, this was off the chain’.”
