Musicians line up an enchanted evening

Big Band is back in Bermuda this weekend.

Some Enchanted Evening 2017 takes place at the Hamilton Princess Hotel on Saturday at 8pm. The event, presented by the Bermuda School of Music in partnership with PartnerRe, is marking its 20th year.

International musicians Dave Ballou, Joe Beaty and Albert Rivera will join vocalists Joy Barnum and Melinda Rose Rodriguez, along with a dozen local players, to form a 16-piece ensemble.

Music by Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller will be performed.

All proceeds from the event will go to support the school’s bursary programme.

General admission is $50, with tickets for children priced at $20. They are available at the Bermuda School of Music and online at www.ptix.bm.
