Road closures for Sunday in Hamilton

Roads and car parks are to be closed in Hamilton on Sunday for the tall ships bon voyage festival, as well as the Royal Bermuda Regiment’s parade rehearsal.

The two events mean that Front Street will be closed to vehicles throughout the day.

The event will also close off Court Street from Reid to Front Street, Parliament Street from Reid to Front Street, Burnaby Street from Reid to Front Street, and Point Pleasant Road, or Albuoy’s Point.

Signs and barriers will be in place.

The bon voyage festival, which follows immediately after the parade, will close off the following areas from 11am until midnight:

• Front Street from Par-la-Ville Road to Parliament Street;

• Par-la-Ville Road from Rosebank to Front Street;

• Queen Street from Front Street to Reid Street;

• Albuoy’s Point;

• Burnaby Street, from Front Street to Reid Street.

There will be no parking in these areas, including the No. 1 and No. 5 car parks.
