Men remain in ICU after weekend crashes

Three people injured in a series of crashes remain in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, according to police, while one has been moved to a general ward.

The first of the three crashes took place on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton Parish shortly before 6pm on Friday. According to police, a 36-year-old woman was injured in the single-vehicle crash.

As of this morning, she was described as being in stable condition in the ICU.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old male motorcyclist, who was injured in a collision with two cars around three hours later near the junction of Middle Road and Tamarind Vale in Warwick, also remains in the ICU in stable condition.

And one of the two men involved in a collision that took place just before 5am on Saturday on Parsons Lane, a 24-year-old male, also remains in ICU.

However, a second man involved in the same collision, a 32-year-old, has been transferred to a general ward.

The police spokesman added: “Inquiries continue and any witnesses to any of these incidents that have not already come forward are encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
