International mail will be delayed due to Hurricane Irma, island residents are being warned.

According to the Bermuda Post Office, mail originating from the Caribbean and Florida has been “significantly impacted”.

Local mail service, however, has not been affected.

“The BPO will continue to monitor developments and update the public accordingly,” a release this afternoon said.
