Police probe sudden death

Wilfred DeGraff passed away last Friday.

Police have launched a probe into the sudden death of St George’s man Wilfred DeGraff last Friday.

A police spokesman said: “We understand that Mr DeGraff recently travelled to Canada, and returned to Bermuda on September 26.

“Whilst his death is not considered suspicious, we are interested in talking to any person who may have seen Mr DeGraff since his return to Bermuda, or who may have information about the circumstances leading up to his death.”

Mr DeGraff, 42, was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 6, but later died.

The spokesman said an autopsy has been performed and police would be given the findings.

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr DeGraff continue and a family liaison officer has been assigned to his family.

The police spokesman said: “Any information regarding this matter will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.”

Anyone with information that could help the enquiry should call Detective Chief Inspector Nicholas Pedro or Detective Inspector Derricka Burns on 295-0011 or 247-1757 or contact the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
