The Elliott Street car park is set to be closed for more than a week to allow work in the area.

According to the Corporation of Hamilton, the car park will be closed on Thursday, reopening 11 days later on Monday, December 4.

A spokeswoman said: “This closure is necessary to complete the replanting of trees, trenching works and the installation of new lighting, CCTV cameras, the pay stations and barrier equipment.

“It should be noted that the man entrance of Bull’s Head car park will reopen for normal use on Thursday, providing adequate space for those motorists who normally use Elliott Street.

“Additionally, Par-la-Ville car park is an all-day car park and has plenty of available parking bays.”
