Press Release: Events at BNG

BNG is hosting many fun-filled art activities throughout the month of December for families and children in the community. There will be many give away gifts, prizes and surprises.

BNG values family time through creative expressions and art-making.

The 7-Days of Art Activities will be from December 18 – 24, 2017.

Monday, December 18: Visit “A New Bestiary for Children” exhibit in the BNG Children’s Gallery and pick up a FREE Peter Woolcock Children’s Activity Booklet.

Tuesday, December 19: Complete the BNG Scavenger Art Hunt! Every child will receive a gift and adults get to enter a raffle draw for prizes!

Wednesday, December 20: Help decorate the BNG Christmas tree by bringing in a home-made ornament! FREE to all children. Prize for “Best Home-Made Ornament.

Thursday, December 21: Visit BNG for the 10:00am morning art tour and learn about the current exhibitions “The Power of Art” and “Shepard Fairey: rebel with a cause”.

Friday, December 22: Small gift for every child who visits BNG today. Announcement of Decorate the BNG Christmas Tree “Best Home-Made Ornament” prize winner and “Scavenger Hunt” raffle prize winners!

Saturday, December 23: Visit Hamilton Princess Hotel for a FREE 10:00am Art Tour featuring artworks by artist Shepard Fairey and many more. Receive a FREE Admission Pass to BNG!

Sunday, December 24: Visit BNG Sculpture Garden at Queen Elizabeth Park on Par-la-Ville Road in the City of Hamilton. FREE Admission. Take an Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook photo of your favourite artwork and hashtag #BNG.

Families are also invited to visit the Gallery anytime in the month of December. Current BNG exhibitions: “The Power of Art”, “Peter Woolcock: A New Bestiary for Children” and “Shepard Fairey: rebel with a cause”.

To participate, all BNG activities require the cost of admission unless stated otherwise. Regular admission is $5.00; FREE for all children, students, seniors, BNG Members and NARM Members.

BNG is located at City Hall & Arts Centre, 2nd floor, Hamilton. Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday 10:00am – 4:00pm and Saturday 10:00am – 2:00pm.
