Fitness main priority in 2018

It will be a fit and prosperous 2018 for Bermuda, if everyone sticks to their new year’s resolutions.

Health and fitness were picked as top priorities by 39 per cent of people when pollsters Global Research asked people for their goals in the coming 12 months.

A plan to lead a happier or more fun-filled life was in second place on 12 per cent and better financial management rounded off the top three on 9 per cent.

Other popular resolutions were to “do my best” and “be more spiritual”, both on 6 per cent, and “stay positive”, with 5 per cent.

Stress reduction, more sleep, giving up smoking, getting a better job and a desire for more family time all got votes.

The telephone poll of 404 registered voters was carried out between December 10 and 15 and has a margin of error of +/- 5 per cent.
