Free workshops for parents, along with a youth fair, are to be offered on Saturday, January 20 at CedarBridge Academy.

Glenn Fubler, of the group Imagine Bermuda, announced the Parent Expo with a group of principals from public and private schools around the island.

With a theme of “empowering families”, the expo will run from 4pm to 8pm at the school’s café, with a total of 15 workshops offered.

Thanks to donations, anyone attending is welcome to select two workshops, with the sessions “geared to increase our community’s collective awareness of how we can all play positive roles promoting the development of every child”, Mr Fubler said.

There will also be displays and activities on “outside-the-box extracurricular activities” at a “Youth Maker Faire” in CedarBridge’s gymnasium

Soup and sandwiches will be offered, along with free child minding for primary school aged youngsters.

A free shuttle bus will run for participants between CedarBridge and the bus terminal in Hamilton, between 3pm and 9pm.
