Hamilton Princess offering cooking classes

The Hamilton Princess is to hold cooking classes for children and adults.

The hotel will offer a series of themed children’s pastry-making classes, led by pastry chef Fhonthip Jones over the next three months.

The first class, to be held on Saturday, will tackle cookies and doughnuts.

The students will work on Valentine’s Day treats on Saturday, February 10 and on Sunday, March 4 the focus will be on Easter desserts.

The students can also take part in an afternoon tea with child-friendly favourites.

Adults were invited to learn about Thai cooking on Saturday, February 3 from executive chef Danai Hongwanishkul.

Tim Morrison, general manager at the Hamilton Princess and Beach Club, said: “We are delighted to be providing these opportunities for amateur chefs and to encourage young people to get involved in cooking.

“I know that our chefs will provide an entertaining and educational experience for everyone who takes part.”

The three pastry classes will be held at the Princess Ballroom from 3pm until 5pm. Tickets cost $65 plus gratuities.

The Thai cooking class will be held at Marcus’ private dining room from 11am until 1pm, and will cost $95 plus gratuities.
