A film charting the history of the Berkeley Institute is to get a special public showing this week.

Respice Finem: The Story of The Berkeley Institute will be screened at Liberty Theatre on Sunday, the 120th Anniversary Committee of the Berkeley Educational Society said today.

The society added: “Head on down memory lane by reminiscing alongside fellow Berkeleyites featured in the film and also contribute to this worthy fundraiser.”

The film, directed by Lucinda Spurling, Karli Powell and Kara Smith, was commissioned and produced by the Class of 1963 to commemorate their 50th year as Berkeley graduates.

The graduates had their own premiere in November 2015 and the film was also shown at the Bermuda International Film Festival at City Hall in March 2016.

The film, part-funded by The Berkeley Educational Society, was handed over to the society in November 2016, a year after its official launch.

Tickets cost $100 for patrons and $50 for general admission.

Patron tickets are available from The Berkeley Institute office at 292-4752, and from Marva Bridgewater via e-mail antoinettemb65@gmail.com or at 599-3723.
