Injured motorists discharged from hospital

Two people injured in a crash on Friday night have been released from hospital.

A 54-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after a three-vehicle collision on Middle Road in Paget.

According to police a car being driven west on Middle Road collided with a motorcycle being ridden in the opposite direction, as well as another car being driven east.

The driver of the westbound car, a 65-year-old Smiths man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

A police spokesman said the man later passed an alco-analyser test and was released on police bail.

Police are still investigating the crash, and anyone with information is urged to contact officers at 295-0011.
