Police have launched a fresh appeal for witnesses to a Hamilton fight that left a man “critical” in hospital.

A police spokesman said a 30-year-old man injured in the brawl was still being treated in the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital’s intensive care unit.

He added a 25-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident was still in police custody.

The incident happened on Front Street around 3.15am on Sunday near Cosmopolitan nightclub.
