New account director for advertising agency

New blood: Sami Lill and Lucy Russell of Uber Super Duper

A Bermuda advertising agency has hired a new account director.

Lucy Russell has joined the team at Uber Super Duper, based in Hamilton.

Ms Russell added: “I was impressed by Uber Super Duper’s varied creative offering.

Many traditional agencies just look to produce yet another standard campaign of TV, radio and print. However, Uber Super Duper looks for original solutions that are right for the client whether that’s an animation, mural, branding, social media content or ad campaigns.

Ms Russell, who managed a nightclub in Edinburgh, Scotland, for several years, has also worked at Santander Bank, UK-based health food retailer Holland & Barrett and Scottish Development International, a Scottish government quango set up to encourage overseas investment.

Sami Lill, founder and creative director at Uber Super Duper, said: “It’s not often you find someone with such a diverse range of skills and experience. Lucy had both a strategic and conceptual understanding of the business, and also significant entrepreneurial experience of running a vibrant and successful entertainment business.”

Uber Super Duper has worked with the America’s Cup, the Bermuda Business Development Agency, island finance and insurance companies as well as international brands like electronics firm Sony and furniture giant Ikea. The agency also worked on Bermuda’s national anti-money-laundering campaign.

Mr Lill said Bermuda is in a position to compete creatively on a global level due to technological advances.

He added: “We have all the production tools available for producing amazing, emotionally powerful work.

In this digital age, the major differentiator between brands is really the quality of the ideas.”
