A Bermudian catwalk hopeful has won two awards as part of an international competition.

Samantha Warren took the public vote award for charity as part of Britain’s Top Model 2018 and also scooped the award for beach body.

The public award was designed to highlight the contest participant who raises the most money for Children with Cancer UK, the competition’s charity of choice.

Ms Warren said winning the award was a “great feeling”.

She added: “For me, that award was fulfilling because I worked hard to raise money for a charity that I believe is an amazing cause.”

Ms Warren was co-winner of the award — she shared the honour with fellow Bermudian Jaime Procter.

Both women raised well over $3,000 each for the children’s charity through online donations.

Ms Warren said that she had received details on some of the children who would be helped by the money she raised.

She added: “I met and took photos with people from the charity when I won the prize.”

Ms Warren said the recognition was a major confidence booster.

Ms Warren added: “It felt amazing knowing out of 4,000 girls that originally applied they chose me.”

Ms Warren said she planned to pursue her modelling dream when she returns from an overseas holiday.

She said: “I have a few meetings in place with agents and hopefully I get signed by a good agent in the UK so I can work on furthering my career in England rather than the United States.”
