Norwegian Escape marks maiden Bermuda voyage

The Norwegian Escape arrived at the island for the first time yesterday, bringing 5,000 visitors.

The ship, the largest cruise ship in the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, was at full capacity for the trip.

Walter Roban, the Deputy Premier, welcomed the visit with a delegation to commemorate the ship’s maiden Bermuda voyage.

The Norwegian Escape will depart for New York tomorrow, ending the first of 24 scheduled visits to the island this year.
