The Department of Corrections is gearing up for Corrections Week beginning this Friday.

A team of Corrections staff will take part in the Marathon Derby on May 25, while other events include a special church service at the St Paul AME Church on Sunday, and a Seniors Tea at St Paul’s Church Hall in Paget next Tuesday.

National security minister Wayne Caines said: “The men and women in the Department of Corrections continue to go above and beyond to protect and serve, at times under difficult circumstances.

“We are appreciative of their commitment to the Department and proud of the work they do on behalf of our community. Corrections Week provides us with a wonderful opportunity to show our support and acknowledge their contributions.”
