Staff from the Fairmont Southampton helped to spruce up a primary school in preparation for the start of the new school year.

Thirteen hotel employees worked at the parish’s Heron Bay Primary School as part of their back-to-school community service day.

The staff helped to clean out student lockers, washed blinds, painted picnic benches, dusted books in the library and assisted teachers with setting up their classrooms last week.

The staff who took part were Sierra Symonds, Kenhai Darrell, Tristan Daniels, Jamel Hawker, Tariq Simmons, Shawn Burrows, Emily Sheere, Gerri Stewart, Allison Tucker, Greg Meszoly, Danielle Castle, Pierre JeanStephen Dutton and Ashjuanna Thomas.
