Buses could soon start to run earlier after negotiations between the Department of Public Transportation and the Bermuda Industrial Union.

The Government said the possibility is to be discussed at a meeting this morning, which will bring the bus service to a halt for two hours between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

A Department of Public Transportation spokeswoman said: “The provision of an earlier start time will provide improved service to the general public.

“The DPT apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the public for their patience and co-operation.”
