The body of a man was found in Devonshire yesterday.

The grim discovery was made on Corkscrew Hill at about 1pm.

Police said the body was found by a member of the public.

An on-call doctor certified the death at the scene.

A police spokesman said it appeared the man may have been “living rough in the area”.

He added that police were working to identify the man and inform his next of kin.

Traffic was diverted away from Corkscrew Hill for about 40 minutes as police examined the scene.
