Bus service changes for WTS Bermuda

New bus routes will be in place and a temporary bus terminal set up during the MS Amlin World Triathlon Bermuda.

The Central Bus Terminal will close to all traffic and pedestrians on Saturday, between 6am and 11.30am. The cashier kiosk will also close.

A temporary bus terminal will be in place, with buses arriving and departing Hamilton from both sides of Victoria Street, between Cedar Avenue and Brunswick Street.

According to the Department of Public Transportation, new bus routes are:

• Buses travelling from the west on routes No 7, No 8 and No 2, inbound to the City of Hamilton, will travel via Rural Hill to Trimingham Hill round about, on to South Road, left on to Tee Street, left on to Middle Road, right on to Montpelier Road, Parsons Road, North Street, Angle Street, Cedar Avenue, and Victoria Street. All buses travelling west, outbound from the City of Hamilton, will follow this route in reverse

• Buses travelling from the east on routes No 10 and No 11 will remain on route inbound and outbound of the City of Hamilton, and may experience minimal delays

• Buses travelling on routes No 1 and No 3 will turn right on to Tee Street, left on to Middle Road, right on to Montpelier Road, Parsons Road, North Street, Angle Street, Cedar Avenue, and Victoria Street. These trips will follow this route in reverse out of the City of Hamilton

• Point Finger Road will not be accessible by bus. People travelling to and from King Edward VII Memorial Hospital will disembark at the stops on routes No 2, No 7 and No 8 near Peace Lutheran Church on South Road
