Destination Dockyard returns

The second season of the popular Destination Dockyard is set to kick off on Monday (JULY 1) – with a great line-up of local entertainment and vendors.

West End Development Corporation (WEDCO) has partnered with PinkSand Entertainment and the Bermuda Tourism Authority to run the event which will be held every Monday until August 26.

“Each Monday will have a different theme,” said Stephanie Rodill, WEDCO’s Marketing and Events Manager. “The first theme is Culture Fest - a true celebration of all that makes Bermuda so special to kick off the summer series.

“We have Bermudian performers, entrepreneurs, small businesses, crafters, artists and everything in between.

“We’ve got some fantastic acts – DJ Rusty G, One Soulution Band, the Warwick Gombeys and the always spectacular Fire Dancers. We are also extremely excited to welcome Ed Christopher to the West End again as our event MC. Along with all the vendors, this will be a great night for the entire family to enjoy.

“As well as the vendors taking part, the shops in the Clocktower Mall will also be open until 9pm. Dockyard will be buzzing with activity.”

Jonathan Tankard, of PinkSand, added: “We got a lot of very positive feedback after the last Destination Dockyard and we are really looking forward to this year’s events.

“We think we have got entertainment and activities that everyone, locals and visitors, will love.”

Some vendors that people can expect to see are: Wafflicious, Rosebuds Fashions/Accessories, Bonefish Bar & Grill, NaKID, Glow Zone, Butterfli, Dandesign, Ashley’s Lemonade Stand, Wizdom Naturals, Anchor Restaurant, Bar & Lounge, Cherinas Fashion, Jennifer Rodrigues Designs, Wales Accessories, Mr Givens, Bermuda eKarts, Planet Math and J&B’s Wood Fired Pizza.

Destination Dockyard starts on July 1 and finishes on August 26 – every Monday night from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on the North Lawn.
