Fresh Air Films in Queen Elizabeth Park

The City of Hamilton’s Fresh Air Film series, proven to be very popular with families looking to enjoy the outdoors, returns to Queen Elizabeth Park on Friday, September 13th with two free movie screenings.

At 6pm film enthusiasts can enjoy How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World whilst the second screening at 7.45pm will bring the Marvel superhero epic Avengers: Endgame to the big screen.

The City of Hamilton encourages the public to come out and bring blankets and chairs, picnics or takeout, and settle in for a double-header of blockbuster films.

There will be vendors at the event including Ashley’s Lemonade and Hot Dog Delight providing popcorn, hot dogs, drinks and candy.

Senior Events & Marketing Coordinator for the City, Allison Tucker, said of the event: “Fresh Air Films is back for its second instalment this year. It’s a fun way for families to combat the back to school blues as this is the first weekend school has been in and Queen Elizabeth Park provides the ultimate outdoor theatre. We’re pleased to be able to offer current films that are free to the public and to have families come out and enjoy the park.”

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is rated PG and Avengers: Endgame is rated PG-13.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to Saturday, September 14th, 2019.
