A picture flaw affecting local TV stations is the subject of talks between the Bermuda Broadcasting Company and One Communications.The Royal Gazette has fielded complaints from viewers over the black border that reduces screen size on channels ZBM-9 and ZFB-7 for One Communications customers receiving high definition TV.A Devonshire customer, Libby Madeiros, wrote at the start of this month that One had given “no clarification as to when this will end”.The Royal Gazette understands that the cost to One Communications of supplying the high definition signal would run an extra 70 cents per subscriber.A spokeswoman for the company said on Wednesday: “We are currently in commercial discussions with BBC to resolve these issues, and cannot comment further.“We are hopeful the matter will be resolved in the near term.”Patrick Singleton, the chief executive for BBC, said: “We are in commercial discussions with One Communications, and can say more after the negotiations are completed.”
