Police: four arrests after gun incidents

Four men with gang links were arrested in an operation launched in the wake of a spate of gun incidents at the weekend, a police spokesman revealed yesterday.He said that police had targeted “specific persons” in the operation after firearms incidents over a two-week period from February 3 to February 16.The spokesman said: “The police would like to remind the public that antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue robust policing efforts to stem this tide of gang and firearms incidents. “We would like to again thank the public for their continued assistance with the ongoing investigations into these incidents.”The spokesman added: “We also urge anyone with information on any person(s) with firearms and or anyone who has information about people who are participating in antisocial behaviour and who may not have yet done so, to come forward and assist your police service.• Anyone with information on firearms or people involved in antisocial behaviour should contact their Parish Constable and or the Serious Crimes Unit on 247-1739 or alternatively Crime Stoppers on 800-8477
