Essential workers can now get a 50 per cent discount on transfer fees at Western Union in Hamilton.The international money-transfer company, on Burnaby Street in Hamilton, joined forces with its island agent Blue Nile Services to introduce the scheme.A spokeswoman said: “When the world stops, you keep going, and to show our gratitude we’re offering frontline responders and essential workers 50 per cent transfer fee discount.”The deal is valid until Thursday. Call at the Burnaby Street office from Monday to Friday, between 10am and 2pm.Customers should wear a mask. Only three people are allowed inside the office at a time and customers must stick to six feet social-distancing if required to wait outside.
