A reward of up to $3,000 was offered yesterday for information that will help to find a missing young mother.Crime Stoppers said that Chavelle Dillon-Burgess’s family and friends had been “torn apart over the last month” while her whereabouts were unknown.It said in a press release: “A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for information that will help to locate Chavelle.”Members of the public have joined police officers and Royal Bermuda Regiment troops in searches for the young woman, who has not been in contact with friends since April 11 and was reported missing by her mother on April 30.She was last seen at her home on Hillview Road in Warwick.Police carried out a search last Friday of the house in Warwick that Ms Dillon-Burgess shared with defence lawyer Kamal Worrell, the father of her son.A Bermuda Police Service spokesman confirmed at the time that a warrant was executed “as part of an ongoing investigation”.Ms Dillon-Burgess has a toddler son and her 27th birthday was earlier this week.Crime Stoppers said: “Her whereabouts are now of major concern to the Police Service, her family and friends.”The charity explained that people can report information anonymously through its website crimestoppers.bm “without the fear of exposure or retribution”.It added: “To submit information online is a simple process that is completely secure and anonymous, providing an effective means of safely communicating with Crime Stoppers Bermuda. “If you wish, you can return to the website to provide additional information at any time through the same secure and encrypted interface, as long as you remember your electronic generated password, which will be provided to you when you submit the original information.“Alternatively, you can call the anonymous Crime Stoppers Bermuda telephone number 800-8477. “Your call is free from any phone and will not appear on any telephone bill or be recorded anywhere. “Calls are answered in Florida, USA, and cannot be traced. “Your information is relayed back to Crime Stoppers Bermuda electronically and passed to the relevant law enforcement agencies.“You will not be asked your name or telephone number.
