Learn to roll your own sushi

The Department of Health is taking it to the streets, offering Free Health Checks on Friday, September 1st.

From 4pm until 8pm at Dr E.F. Gordon Square in Hamilton, adults 18 and over can get their blood glucose and blood pressure checked, as well as cardiac profiling and other health monitoring.

Another free health check will take place on Friday, 22 September (King’s Square, St. George) also from 4pm to 8pm.

Join RED Steakhouse as they proudly host their Duckhorn & Decoy Wine Tasting event on Thursday, September 7th.

From 5:30pm until 8pm at the Restaurant, they will be showcasing 6 wines from the Duckhorn & Decoy vineyards while their Chefs Chad and Grant will pair each wine with some of the finest delicacies from their kitchen.

Prof. Eddie Ming cordially invites you to bring your family and friends to The Rhythm Lab’s Vegan Jazz Gathering on Saturday, September 9th 2017.

From 7pm at The Rhythm Lab on Old Military Road in St. George’s (next to the St. George’s Community Center, opposite to the St. George’s Bus Terminal) this fundraiser will include live jazz music, featuring Jazz Saxophonist, Dr. Keith Lee. A delicious and healthy vegan buffet dinner and herbal beverages will be prepared in-house for all guests. This promises to be a chance for families and friends to get together for some relaxation and enjoyment.

This cost is $30 or $50 for patrons. Donations will be accepted and proceeds will go to the Eddie Ming Drum School.

RSVP is required, please confirm your attendance by September 5th. Dress code is smart casual.

Studio One Fitness invites you to enjoy your favourite class or try something new as they hold their Studio One Showcase on Saturday, September 16th.

From 8am until 1pm at City Hall Car Park, you can try a variety of free fitness classes including; Spinning, Zumba, Body Combat, Body Step, CxWorx (Core), Yoga and Pole Fitness (in studio), taught by some of Bermuda’s premier instructors. They will also offer free fitness testing, body composition, giveaways, healthy snacks, studio tours and special sign up deals.

Pre-registration is not required, although some classes will have number restrictions, so you will be admitted on a first come first serve basis.
