Fresh concessions to boost hotel developments will be tabled in the House of Assembly today.

Concessions orders for Elbow Beach Hotel and the former Surf Side beach resort are being introduced. Renovations are said to lie ahead for both South Shore resorts.

Matters up for debate by MPs include the Hamilton Sewerage Amendment Act 2016, enabling the cash-strapped Corporation of Hamilton to tax users of its sewerage system that lie outside city boundaries.

MPs will consider a housekeeping bill, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Amendment Act 2016, providing for the amalgamation of Conservation Services and Environmental Protection.

Also up for discussion are the Government Fees Amendment (No 2) and Liquor Licensing Amendment Act 2016.
