A career development, training and registration drive by the Department of Workforce Development will take place at Devonshire Recreation Club.
Lovitta Foggo, the Minister of Labour, Community Affairs and Sports, said similar events were planned for 2019 to take the department’s services “to the streets” in the eastern and western parishes.
The Devonshire Rec event next Thursday, from 10.20am to 2.30pm, will include interview skills, employability skills and how a person’s online image affects employment.
Ms Foggo also said a town-hall meeting in January would “engage the public in frank dialogue” aimed at a solution driven conversation on improving the department’s services.
