XL Catlin has announced Philippe Gouraud as head of strategic client and broker management for its insurance segment.

Mr Gouraud has extensive experience in the industry, including 15 years in underwriting and senior account management roles with AIG.

He will have a global role with XL Catlin and will specifically help the company in the areas of global programmes and captives.

Kelly Lyles, chief regional officer of insurance at XL Catlin, said: “In this newly created strategic role, we expect Philippe to effectively align our broad underwriting and service capabilities to current and future market demands.”
