Neon Bermuda hires Hunt from Chubb

New hire: Dwayne Hunt will join Neon Bermuda from Chubb on December 1

Neon has lured Bermudian underwriter Dwayne Hunt from Chubb as the London-based insurer expands its new Bermuda office.

Mr Hunt will join Neon as senior vice-president, property insurance, and will be based in the Victoria Street office Neon opened in June this year.

With the appointment of Mr Hunt, effective December 1, Neon Bermuda will have hired four Bermudians.

The company added: “As stated at the time of launch, Neon is committed to hiring further local talent and anticipates additional hires and new product lines as the office expands.”

Mr Hunt’s current role is senior vice-president and property manager at Chubb Bermuda where he holds shared underwriting responsibility for the mature excess global property book of business.

Before Chubb, Mr Hunt held underwriting roles at both Arch Insurance and XL Insurance in Bermuda, focusing on the North American property market. He has more than 20 years of market experience.

Neon focuses on writing direct and facultative property insurance on a global basis.
