BII sets new date for women’s series launch

Fiona Luck is one of the scheduled participants in the BII lunch and learn event next Wednesday

The first in a series of events aimed at promoting the professional development of women in the insurance and reinsurance sectors will take place next week, having been postponed from last month.

The Bermuda Insurance Institute is organising a programme of events over the next 12 months which will concentrate on finding specific solutions to roadblocks preventing women from prospering in the re/insurance sector.

The lunch and learn event titled “What We Wish We Had Known….” will now take place on Wednesday, June 27 at 12.30pm at O’Hara House, on Bermudiana Road. It is being jointly sponsored by BF&M and Tokio Millennium Re.

The programme had been due to begin last month with the event featuring a conversation between Kathleen Faries, head of TMR Bermuda, and Fiona Luck, a long-time industry executive who has been appointed to the Lloyds Franchise Board. However, Ms Luck was ill and the event was rescheduled.

To attend, contact Bermuda Insurance Institute at 295-1596 or e-mail info@bii.bm. Alternatively, you can register online through the BII website at www.bii.bm
