Jamie Miller has joined American International Group from Swiss Re. He has been appointed North America property chief underwriting officer, general insurance.

Mr Miller has more than 35 years of experience in the industry, and has previously worked for XL Catlin, Sedgwick James, Cigna Corp and Liberty Mutual. Before joining AIG he was managing director, North America property and risk speciality lines with Swiss Re.

In his new role he will lead the overall strategic direction for North America general insurance property underwriting.
