Bermuda will be represented at the 28th World Captive Forum at the end of the month.

The event takes place in Miami on January 31 and February 1.

Members of the Bermuda Business Development Agency and representatives of the industry will be present at the BDA’s booth, and a number of experts from Bermuda will be involved in event sessions and roundtables.

Among those speaking is Michael Woodroffe, president of Kirkway International. He will appear at a session on reinsurance and fronting that will look at the captive market and the position of fronting companies.

Brian Quinn, chief underwriting officer of Granite Management, will be part of a roundtable discussion on accessing the reinsurance market and doing more with a captive.

A discussion on Latin American captives will feature Appleby’s Timothy Faries and Eduardo Fox, and Bartolome Massot Cristino of Quest Management Services Ltd.
