Bermudian-based Everest Re Group Ltd has bolstered its Lloyd’s general liability casualty team with the hiring of two former Ironshore Insurance staff.

The company said Graeme McGeachie and Pete Graham will join Everest Insurance’s international division effective April 8. They will be based in London.

Mr McGeachie joins as a casualty class underwriter at Everest’s Lloyd’s Syndicate 2786. He was formerly the lead underwriter within the international specialty casualty practice at Ironshore.

Mr Graham joins as a casualty underwriter. Most recently, he was a class underwriter within the international casualty practice at Ironshore.

The company said their arrival will significantly expand Everest’s international general liability capabilities.

“Everest will benefit from their strong relationships with clients, coverholders and brokers around the world who are familiar with the underwriting insight and value they provide,” the statement said. “They will be instrumental in broadening Everest’s international offering and working with clients to address the increasingly complex risk landscape.”
