Lucky break

Two truckers had a lucky escape yesterday when their vehicle hit an overhanging branch as they moved to avoid road works in the centre of Dundonald Street. Mini-Forwarders' driver Quinton Dill said contractors should have let people know about the danger after the tree smashed into his vehicle. "I heard we were the fourth truck to hit it," he said. "It could have been worse. The glass didn't shatter, thank God. That would have been bad." He was treated for cuts to his face while his helper was treated for nausea. Both have recovered, however.
