Bermuda goal shooter Danielle Raynor will be off to Ghana in July with the Ace It Foundation to share her netball skills work with a charity formed by fellow Bermudian.

The AIF is a registered NGO in the west African country, cofounded by Bermudian Quinton Sherlock Jr, who lives in Ghana, and Nicolo Catto. Their mission is to empower young people in Ghana through education and sports.

“I am very interested in this endeavour and giving back by teaching a skill, shooting that I love doing,” Raynor said. “I feel honoured to receive the invite as Bermuda’s leading goalscorer and also a Bermuda national player.”

The Bermuda senior training squad will hold a bake sale today from 1pm to 7pm at Bernard Park to raise funds for their trip to AFNA World Cup qualifiers to be held in Barbados in August.

The BNA national programme is in full swing with the senior, Under-19 and Under-16 teams training regularly. The Under-19 squad are preparing for the Canadian Developmental Under-19 series in July.
