Bermuda name squad for Florida tournament
The Bermuda Netball Association have selected a team of 12 players for the USA Netball Under-21 International Development Series in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this month.
Amali Smith will captain the team with Debré Evans the vice-captain. Bermuda will play against the host nation and Canada from July 23 to 25 at the Coral Springs High School.
The teams will play each other twice, four games over the three-day period with two games a day.
“This tournament is the pinnacle of netball competitions for emerging players who are under 21 years of age and will increase the likelihood of qualifying in our region for the Netball World Youth Cup 2021,” said Kimale Evans, the Bermuda Netball Association president.
Bermuda leave the island on Saturday, July 21 and will return on Thursday, July 28.
