Warner pulls off upset in St Lucia
Bermuda’s Antonio Warner upset the No 1 seed James Hadden from Trinidad & Tobago in the Boys’ 12 & under division at the Sagicor COTECC Junior Tournament in St Lucia today.
After losing the first set 3-5, Warner bounced back to win the match 3-5, 4-0, 10-2.
In his second match Warner defeated Kai Owen, of Barbados, 4-0, 4-0 to reach the finals. He will face Leeum Chan Pak, who upset the number 2 seed, tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Bermuda’s Mackai Whitter lost 6-4, 6-0 to Sebastian Sylvestor, the No 4 seed of Trinidad & Tobago, in the Boys’ 14 & under division.
