Hamilton Princess & Beach Club was named seventh best resort in the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Turks and Caicos in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2018.

The hotel ranked the best Bermudian resort, with five others making the top 25: The Reefs in 10th place, Cambridge Beaches 13th, Rosewood Bermuda 16th, The Loren 19th and Fairmont Southampton 20th.

The Hamilton Princess had been voted 17th best in the 2017 poll.

The magazine’s review highlighted the recent $100 million renovation of the hotel and the Marcus’ restaurant, recommending that travellers “get a seat on the 1,500 square foot wraparound veranda, and pop some crispy fish chowder croquettes while you watch the waves roll by”.

The Condé Nast Traveler survey was open to the public and in total 7,234 hotels and resorts, 583 cities, 453 cruise ships, 100 islands, 172 airlines and 197 airports were voted on. The average voter was in their late 30s.

Tim Morrison, general manager of Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, said: “We are delighted to have been voted the seventh best resort in the Bahamas, Bermuda and Turks and Caicos in Condé Nast’s Readers’ Choice Award by our guests.

“To be the highest placed Bermuda hotel is a particular honour and one we could not have achieved without the hard work of all of our colleagues. We pride ourselves on creating memorable moments for all of guests and we look forward to climbing the rankings even further next year.”
