‘Don’t mess around and work hard’

Sandys Secondary Middle School students proud to be on Principal’s List: Rainda De Fontes, Jamin Fubler, Adreaz Glasgow, Kehrehn Smith, Abigail Frost, Kaeli Weeks-Ible and Najay DaCosta.

Twenty-four students made the Principal’s List this term at Sandys Secondary Middle School. We interviewed some of them last week.

Raina De Fontes, 13

Raina has been on the Principal’s List since M1. Her favourite subjects include art, design and technology and English. She likes dance, archery and football.

She would like to be a marine biologist or work in the field of science. Her tips for students to be on the list are: “Stay focused even if you have to separate yourself from some people.”

Jamin Fubler, 13

Jamin’s favourite subjects include: maths, science, English and arts. He would like to be an electrician or accountant. Jamin’s tip for students is: “Try to make a friendly competition between you and your friends so that you can strive to be the best you can.”

Andreaz Glasgow, 13

Andreaz’s favourite subject is maths. His career aspirations include chef/baker; pilot and entrepreneur. “My favourite memory of Sandys is everything,” he said. “I love this school and I really don’t want to leave.”

His tips for student’s wanting to get on the list: “You need to find a balance between school and everything else going on. You also need to finish all your assignments on time.”

Kehrehn Smith, 11

Social Studies is Kehrehn’s favourite subject and becoming a chef or baker is one ambition.

Kehrehn’s tip for students is: “Do all your work and stay focused, listen to your teacher and most importantly question when you don’t understand.”

Abigail Frost, 12

Abigail enjoys horse riding and sailing as hobbies and would like to become a vetenarian. Abigail’s tips are: “Complete all your work, if you fail an exam and have the choice to retake the exam, do it!”

Kaeli Weeks-Ible, 11

Kaeli would like to be a lawyer when she gets older. Her tip: “Pay attention, do your best and listen to instructions.”

Najay DaCosta, 11

Najay’s favourite subjects are design and technology. Najay’s tip: “Don’t mess around in class and work hard.”
