Demand is reported to be high for tickets to the upcoming America’s Cup, touted as promising to be “the best yet” by its CEO, Russell Coutts.

The 35th America’s Cup takes place from May 26 until June 27, and tickets from grandstand seating and spectator boats have now sold out for its final weekend, according to the America’s Cup Event Authority.

However, other events remain open for the June 24 and 25 weekend, including general admission to the America’s Cup Village, and spaces to register boats in the allocated public viewing area on the Great Sound.

“The number of tickets already sold confirms there is significant interest in the events that will take place in Bermuda in May and June, and with what lies in store, I am not surprised,” Mr Coutts said.

“Competition for the oldest trophy in international sport is shaping up to be one of the most hard fought, competitive events ever.”
